James Copeland, Jr., Ed., D.
Mr. James Copeland, Jr. has been an advocate for education for several years. He has promoted education in the DC Metro as well as throughout the United States. He has worked with local, state, and federal agencies(s) in providing resources to those pursuing post-secondary education opportunities. In his role with Employment Now a 501c (3) Non-Profit he provides direction as Director of Programs & Public Relations.
Employment Now is dedicated towards providing training and job placement for those in underrepresented communities who are dedicated to their self-development and a better quality of life. He retired from the United States Air force in 2008, and also retired from Law Enforcement for the state of Virginia in 2010.
Mr. Copeland obtained his BS in Information Systems Management from Potomac College in Washington DC and completed his MBA from University of Phoenix in Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Copeland also serves as a professor for several colleges and universities in the Washington DC Metro area teaching in the disciplines of Computer Forensics, Digital Crime, and Business Administration. Mr. Copeland has also completed his doctoral degree in education from Argosy University his research involved Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) focused on success factors relative to self-sustainment of these institutions.
