Marie-Ginette Gauvin

Marie-Ginette holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance and completed various graduate certificate programs and continuing education including Project Management, Agile Methodology, Business Analysis and the Policy, Process & Procedure Master’s Program. She is also a French certified translator and interpreter and is currently volunteering through various non-profit organizations.
While working as an International Business Analyst and Project Manager in the US and overseas for the past 20+ years, she has always served as a volunteer and advocate, working with various non-profit organizations where she also served as a board member. Throughout her career, she has always been involved in the following assignments:
- Served as the Primary Liaison between French speaking countries and her employers
- Served as an Interpreter and Translator for Financial Transactions
- Served as a Counselor and Expert during the hiring of employees including immigrants from various countries
- Served as Cultural Attaché when traveling abroad for Business
- Assisted Management in understanding cultural differences and provided management with an understanding of specific religious values and associated cultures
- Provided support, training, job assistance and translation work for French speaking and Martinique/Haitian-Creole immigrants seeking employment, training and legal resources
Marie-Ginette has been volunteering for the New York Bar Association working on behalf of immigrants seeking asylum in the US since 1993. She worked for many years as a volunteer for Churchworld Services (New York City) and Caribbean Help Center (Silver Springs, MD) in the same capacity. Since 2015, has been working full time for various State, Federal Government and private agencies as an interpreter and translator. She is well versed in French, Martinique-Creole and Haitian-Creole languages (and dialects) and culture. She is passionate about helping others, primarily immigrants, to achieve financial independence and to understand the various nuances associated with the US culture.
While European educated, Marie-Ginette is a US citizen.
