Why we do it
The idea of EMPLOYMENT NOW came about as the brainchild of a mother and son who decided that it was time to give back to their community. Each one knew their skills set and decided that it was a given to train people for the world of work who were the usual underemployed, unemployed, marginalized classes and those in transition whose demographics work against them.
The mother, Dr. Damaur Quander semi-retired, professional psychologist and human capital development specialist knew that there was more she wanted to do. Her son, Khari Harrigan, an IT specialist and already an entrepreneur, also wanted to devise a way to help others enter the field of computer technology.
Together, they grew a plan to build devise a system for training those individuals often excluded from the world of work, due to lack of employable skills. Deciding to introduce that population to skills that are in high demand—they pooled their knowledge and professional capabilities to share the wealth and build a population with skills for the 21st Century.
