WHO IS SERVED?

EMPLOYMENT NOW works in training cycles.   Classes are formed three times a year;  Winter, Spring and Summer.

Winter and Spring training programs are recruited from adults who did not complete their education and/or lack the skills to compete in the open market such as the unemployed, underemployed, displaced homemakers,  those downsized, laid-off workers, veterans and semi-retired individuals in transition, those challenged by disabilities and recent high school graduates.

The Summer Training Program receives students processed through the public education system. They are juniors and seniors who are eligible for two summers to learn A+, Network+ and Security _________________, who will sit for each exam at the end of their training.

WHAT DOES THE TRAINING CONSIST OF?

The Program

Hard Skills Development:   PART I

Each program prepares students to earn their A+ Certification, Network + Certification and their Security + Certification.  We work with the Comptia++ Company that certifies students who complete their training, in preparation for taking the exam.

Students transition into an internship after their technical training is complete.

 

Soft Skills Development:  PART II

Employment Preparation and Career Development is the second part of the training provided.  Career and Personality Assessments are administered along with Career Counseling and Assessment Evaluation enhances the student’s knowledge about him/herself in preparation for a successful career.

Networking for Career Connections

Interviewing Skills (mock interview sessions included)

Resume Development

How To Keep The Job Once You Have It

(successful personal interaction on the job; manners, acceptable social behavior and more)

Providing Outstanding Customer Service

Problem Solving and Effective Decision Making Skills

Developing Excellent Listening Skills

Other workshops and seminars are included as per employer recommendations

Those interested in applying to our program should fall within the status of the population we have stated will be served.  If you are unemployed, underemployed, recent high school graduate, laid-off, downsized, disabled, veteran in transition or retired changing careers, displaced homemaker, you are our most eligible applicants.
